The car maker of BMW has been acknowledged by the GreenFleet Awards for the second consecutive year. By giving the prize to BMW the organization has recognized the group's efforts to cut emissions of carbon dioxide. This seems to be great news for all drivers willing to purchase used cars by BMW in the near future as it creates an opportunity to see one of the newest environment-friendly technologies and solutions under the bonnet. It also implies that buying BMW used cars means having efficient and environment-friendly vehicles which may take advantage of lower congestion charges and environment tax. This German car maker managed to slash its emissions of carbon dioxide far more than any other auto maker. While the average reduction across the sector was at a level of 3.3 percent, according to the European Federation for Transport and Environment, BMW managed to lower its own output by some 10.2 per cent which is an unprecedented score. Therefore drivers buying BMW used cars now may be sure that they are paying for the best solutions and in a couple of years they will be behind the steering wheel of some of the greenest used cars on the roads. The company also pointed to the EfficientDynamics program as one of the sources of its success, as it helps in utilising a number of fuel-saving and emissions-reducing measures.
